I was really disappointed about the ”Red John” episode… but, despite that, I decided to watch ”My Blue Heaven” yesterday and I simply loved it. It seems like the show is getting a fresh and cool vibe and I’ll give it another chance.
And Jisbon? Of course Jisbon will happen. Remember the ”You’re a little bit in love with her” (5x01) and ”You’re a little in love with him” (5x22). And now Abbott saying ”Your boyfriend/Your girlfriend”. I don’t think they’re including those lines for nothing. Eventually, they will be together.
I’m trying not to be very excited about the surprise that Lisbon has for Jane because this show is always breaking our Jisbon - shipper hearts, maybe is a surprise but not in a good way or something. I’ll just wait calmly until the episode airs and see what happens.
They could have provided more answers. I understand when people are frustrated when creators or series pose all these questions, bring up all these elements, and just fundamentally never answer them. As creators, if you’re posing questions that the audience is wondering about, and you never answer them and give us an answer such as “oh you know, all the answers are good, you can come up with your own theory, I’m leaving this open-ended,” fundamentally, for me, that’s code for you couldn’t find an answer to the question you yourself posed. And that, in my opinion, is a failure on your part.Americ on his post Red John video. (x) If you’re being a gentleman, I may die of shock.
did you know?
Will we get more information about Red John?
Heller: We won’t be going back. … Once the curtain is drawn back from these evil Wizard of Oz characters they tend not to be very interesting dinner companions. They tend to be ego-maniacal one-track minds … There is a great deal of [backstory], if anyone waned to ask those questions, I’d be happy to answer. There’s a lot of questions about motivations and what [Red John] was doing and when and how… It makes for great Internet fodder, but it’s not very entertaining for a weekly TV audience.
Really? So you spent 5 years giving clues and the fans of the show won’t get an explanation of their meaning? Seriously? Oh, that’s great. What about ”He Is Mar” and the tons of clues? What about all the theories fans made with all that clues? We deserve an explanation of that. We deserve to know how Red John started, his motives, the reason why he chose the smiley face as a mark, all of it.
”Strawberries and Cream” was a lot better. I have no problem with Xander Berkeley, I think he’s a good choice. My problem is with the weak writing. You just can’t introduce to the audience a cold-blooded, smart serial killer that knows nothing about fear being defeated by a f****** pigeon and calling 911, that makes no sense. And I will say it again: Why did they mention the f******* handshake theory? Jane made a list based on that and turns out, Jane and McAllister NEVER shook hands! (Unless that ”Rock-Paper and Scissors” is a new form of handshake.) I’ll try it when I met new people… Jesus.
And… Jisbon happening? I don’t know, I ship them with all my heart, but I don’t trust in those writers anymore.
I’m sorry, but, as a viewer, I’m angry and unsatisfied. I know it’s just a TV show, but I can’t help it but feel like this.
Just a point: Why did the writers say that Jane and Red John shook hands in Season 5? Jane and McAllister NEVER SHOOK HANDS. Why did they give the viewers a false clue? Will this be another ”Timothy Carter” thing?
